The former karateka Gaia hears it on TV and chooses to offer her arm. Then, the neurological disease. But the virostar denies the connection. It’s true that we can’t stand any more bullshit. But how can we pass over in silence the latest posts of Italy’s most famous virostar, while he continues to misinform and at the same time ridicule people damaged by the anti-Covid vaccine by calling them #sorciscemi, without any respect for the right of all of us to be correctly informed on issues concerning health, especially by those who should have, like him, the duty to give correct information? At the beginning of November, the virologist Roberto Burioni responded aggressively to a comment by a woman on Instagram, a certain Enza Crescimanno: «Why did my partner no longer walk immediately after the second Pfizer dose and was filled with pain? Play with people’s lives. Instead of making fun of those who have been really sick, do some studies! Burioni replies: «Maybe because he was ashamed of walking with someone like you». He then closes the post with his warhorse: #sorciscemi. Then, the next day, the video of twenty-eight-year-old Gaia Zazzaretti, from Perugia, a former karate champion and now forced to live an elderly life, catches her attention, with her parents looking after her because she can’t handle the slightest effort after having developed a small fiber neuropathy whose first symptoms appeared immediately after the vaccine. This girl was convinced to get vaccinated three years ago by Burioni on television, and for this reason in the video, which has had over 100,000 views, she addresses the virologist by pointing out that “it is not true, as he says, that the damage from the vaccine is in our heads and that we are mentally ill”. And that “the pain of a human being is in itself something terrible, but the lack of respect for that pain is unbearable”. Burioni responds by stating with certainty that it was not the vaccine in his case because, he asserts, it does not cause neurological side effects. He then cites a study that compared the incidence of neurological diseases in vaccinated and unvaccinated people in England, concluding that the incidence is the same. The study is from 2021 and in the panel there are people vaccinated even with a single dose, when instead the greatest and most serious side effects were seen and documented on people who received multiple doses, but Burioni does not specify this. Furthermore, the reference sample of the study chosen by the virologist was monitored for only 21 days after vaccination and now there are studies documenting neurological damage after months and even years, but Burioni is interested in ending the discussion with Gaia, who tries to counter him on Instagram. Finally he dismisses her: «If it makes you feel good to think it was the vaccine, think so too». Gaia tells the Truth: «I would feel good now even if they stopped denying that this damage exists and he, Burioni, together with others – because Burioni knows very well that what happened is true – started studying, joining forces, to cure the collateral damage from the vaccine since they know how it was done». The girl’s clinical history documents the onset of the first symptoms of her disease after the second dose of Pfizer, both in the GP’s certificates and in the specialist certificates of the hospital neurologists. «Immediately after the vaccine I had terrible perennial nausea, the first sign of the disease which worsened over time, also because then I also got Covid which exacerbated the symptoms. Today, I feel excruciating pain everywhere at all times, before I trained every day and now I can’t make any effort, otherwise I faint. I also have constant burning everywhere. I was recognized as 50% disabled; I can’t stand for more than ten minutes. I spent 20,000 euros on CT scans, MRIs, private visits. No other different cause, for example genetic, of my illness has been found”, says the twenty-eight year old Gaia. From our research there are several scientific studies that document the neurological consequences of the anti-Covid vaccination. For example, these two works published on Pub Med: Complications of the peripheral nervous system after vaccination against Covid-19 by Seyed Sepehr Khatami of the Department of Neurology of the University of California, from March this year, in which small fiber neuropathy, Gaia’s disease, is cited as a consequence of the anti-Covid vaccination, a study in which, moreover, early diagnosis and treatment are recommended for these pathologies. And then there is the prospective study Small fiber neuropathy associated with Covid-19 infection and vaccination by Vincenzo Donadio, of the Institute of Neurological Sciences of Bologna, published in January 2025. The mechanism underlying post-vaccination neurological autoimmune syndromes was also studied in a retrospective work by Mauro Mantovani and Paolo Bellavite, published in 2024. The researcher Bellavite, long-time professor of general pathology at the University of Verona, explains to us that «scientific data says that both the natural Covid virus and the vaccine can cause neuropathies, but this also means that the overlap of vaccine doses and natural infection can enhance the disease. As regards the case of Gaia, from a scientific point of view it is never possible to have absolute certainty of the correlation but a plausibility calculation must be made. In this case there is first of all a temporality that indicates that for Gaia it may have been the vaccine, and then there is a biological plausibility, given that it is well known that these vaccines produce neurological autoimmune syndromes, because there is a description in the literature of many cases of this type. Furthermore, no other cause has been found. All this, therefore, speaks for the correlation with the vaccine.”
