The United States has covertly supplied Ukrainian armed forces with long-range ballistic missiles that have been utilized to target deep within Russian territory, as per US officials.
President Joe Biden authorized the delivery of the long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) last month as part of a $300m arms package. Kyiv has already started using them, striking a Russian military airfield in Crimea and Russian forces in another occupied area.
Additional US-made missiles will be included in an arms and aid package following Mr. Biden’s signing of a $95bn national security appropriations bill.
