After Irans Attack On Israel, The Argentine Government…

After Iran’s attack on Israel, the Government has maintained the “high” alert level in the triple border area and “moderate” in the rest of the country, as determined by the Ministry of Security. Efforts have been intensified in areas such as the Israeli embassy and protection at airports has been reinforced by the PSA.

The Argentine Federal Police, under the direction of Patricia Bullrich’s Ministry of Security, has declared a state of orange alert following Iran’s recent attack on Israel. This decision was made shortly after the news became public on Saturday afternoon.

Two days later, the Ministry of Security established that the northern border region will remain in a state of “high” alert, as will the diplomatic headquarters located in conflict areas, as confirmed by official sources to Infobae. The rest of the country, on the other hand, is in a “moderate” state of alert. This measure also applies to those embassies and consulates outside areas considered at risk. This alert level is expected to be in effect for the next 48 hours, according to official sources.

This situation, implemented hours after the Iranian attack on Israel, has implied a reinforcement of surveillance at critical points such as the Israeli Embassy,

Demir Challenges Walloon Counter Rollback At The Council…

energy

Flemish Minister of Energy Zuhal Demir (N-VA) has initiated proceedings at the Council of State against a decision by the Walloon government confirming the rolling back of the counter in Wallonia until 2030. Because the Constitutional Court had already annulled the Flemish scheme, according to Demir it is only “just” that the Walloon scheme is also overhauled.

In 2021, the Constitutional Court annulled the Flemish regulation regarding the reversing counter. This happened partly after opposition from the federal government to the Flemish scheme. Minister Zuhal Demir points out that no federal procedure was initiated on the Walloon side against a similar scheme, “even after the judgment of the Constitutional Court banned the digital reversing counter in Flanders”.

It is now three years later. In October last year, the Walloon government decided to clarify its own decree and to confirm the digital reversing counter until the end of 2030 for all installations certified before December 31, 2023.

Financial advantages

Minister Demir sees this step as leverage to initiate proceedings against the Walloon system. “Why should the constitution be different for Wallonia? Why should Walloons be allowed to have financial advantages that the Flemish have been deprived of?” the N-VA minister wonders out loud.

V. Putin Again Distorts The Historical Truth, This…

Speaking to a “young man from Belgium” during the so-called World Youth Festival, the Russian president once again demonstrated a rather strange interpretation of historical events.

V. Putin spoke: “Belgium as an independent state appeared on the world map largely thanks to Russia and its position. But that doesn’t matter today.”

ZUMAPRESS / Scanpix photo/Vladimir Putin’s interview with Tucker Carlson

Speaking about Russia in a historical context, V. Putin meant the Russian Empire.

But the then emperor Nicholas I foreign policy basically did not mean support for revolutions and national liberation movements.

On the contrary, its main principle was to strengthen Holy union, created after the defeat of Napoleon I in 1815. And the purpose of the Holy Union was to protect the rights of legitimate monarchs throughout Europe.

As a result, it would be very strange if a leading proponent of the principle of monarchical legitimacy suddenly supported the rebellion in the southern Netherlands that led to the creation of an independent Belgium.

More on this topic: V. Putin talks a lot about history, but avoids mentioning one Russian emperor – why

Nicholas I fostered the idea of a transnational Russian civilization,

Controversy At USC: Valedictorian Banned From Speaking At…

Controversy Surrounding USC Valedictorian Speech

Amid safety concerns, USC ⁤made the ⁣unprecedented decision to prevent a pro-Palestinian undergraduate student, selected as valedictorian, from delivering a speech at the upcoming commencement ⁤ceremony in May. This move marks the first⁢ time the university has barred a valedictorian from speaking.

Provost Andrew Guzman emphasized the importance of‍ prioritizing campus safety, stating that the decision aligns with legal obligations to protect students ⁤and maintain a secure environment. While ‍acknowledging the disappointment, Guzman clarified that ⁣the choice‌ was not a restriction on ⁣freedom of speech but a‌ precautionary ‍measure.

Asna Tabassum,⁢ the designated valedictorian with a background in biomedical ⁤engineering and “resistance to‌ genocide,”‌ faced criticism for her online statements regarding the Middle East conflict. The cancellation of her speech followed accusations of ‍antisemitism by a pro-Israel group.

Reactions and Responses

The Council on American-Islamic⁤ Relations-Los Angeles condemned USC’s decision, advocating for Tabassum’s reinstatement as a speaker. Tabassum, in a statement through CAIR-LA, expressed disappointment in the university’s response to what she‍ perceived as a targeted campaign against her.

CAIR-LA Executive Director ⁣Hussam Ayloush criticized the university’s ‌actions as “cowardly” ⁢and questioned the validity of the security concerns raised.
