The new free-to-air seasons are arriving The Chosen. The popular American TV series created and directed by Dallas Jenkis which tells the life of Jesus in fact it will be broadcast, starting from the third season, on TV2000 from 2 February every Monday at 9.10pm.
The Chosen or The Chosen One it was broadcast for the first time in 2019 (in Italy in 2021) and since then it has won over millions of viewers and faithful all over the world. The actor who plays Christ, Jonathan Roumie, met Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican last summer in Rome taking advantage of the breaks from the Matera set where the sixth season was filmed.
The Chosen has many firsts: it is the first multi-season series on the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth, set mainly in 1st century Judea and Galilee, and continues to be the most successful film project financed through crowdfunding. In fact, the producers mainly used crowdfunding on the Angel Studios platform to finance the production.
