The Houston Texans exchanged the Canadian receiver John Metchie III at the Eagles of Philadelphia, according to Adam SchefterESPN.
Houston would have acquired the harrison Bryant winger and a fifth round choice in exchange for the Canadian and a sixth round choice.
Metchie recorded 254 yards on reception and a hit last season with the Texans.
Originally from Brampton, Ontario, he joined the group of Eagles recipients who already includes AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson.
Metchie was selected in 44th position by the Texans during the 2022 draft, but it missed the 2022 season after being diagnosed with leukemia.
The six -foot receiver made his debut a year later, recording 158 yards by the pass and 16 receptions during his recruit season.
Metchie began the last season of her four -year contract, worth $ 8.07 million.
