In the course that will surely delight drivers, worried about mileage, and will reassure critics, Tesla has officially introduced a series of improvements to the Model 3 revered sedan and the extremely popular Model Y crossover. The significant increase in durability thanks to the incorporation of higher density battery cells.
Model 3 gets the most attention with the drastic increase in mileage in all four drive systems. The long -distance champion is the rear option. It boasts an incredible WLTP mileage of 750 km (compared to 702 km) on standard 18-inch wheels or 691 km (compared to 640 km) with larger 19-inch wheels.
The Maximum Range All-Wheel Drive also expands its horizons with an increased mileage of 678 km to 716 km on an 18-inch wheels. Even the baseline with rear-wheel drive marks a jump, reaching approximately 554 km with the standard 18-inch wheels (the 19-inch option gets a slight increase to 520 km). The highest class of Performance is not forgotten, whose mileage increases from 528 km to 571 km.
But perhaps the most satisfying renewal for enthusiasts and daily drivers is the restoration of the traditional turn signal lever. After years of fierce debate and widespread criticism of the steering wheel -mounted buttons – a function that is particularly annoying in complex maneuvers such as navigation in a circular motion, for example. This is a clear recognition from Tesla that sometimes tested and proven physical controls are simply better than digital minimalism.
In addition, the Model 3 gets a new, wider front camera, a kit for washing nozzles and a heating element. This improvement is intended to provide better visibility to the surrounding area of the car on the center screen in all weather conditions, improving parking at low speed and visibility from the driver’s seat.
With the Middle-sized Model Y crossover, the focus is entirely on the Maximum Range All-Wheel Drive version, which gets a significant increase in the mileage. It now reaches approximately 629 km, which is an impressive increase over the previous 586 km, reinforcing its position as a high -performance electric car.
These latest enhancements, especially the significant increase in mileage and tactical retreat with regard to the indicator, show a renewed focus on the basic product quality and customer feedback.
