Man Arrested After Attack on Belfast Islamic Centre

A 34-year-old man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act after allegedly attacking the Belfast Islamic Centre on University Road. The incident occurred around 10pm, while approximately 30 men and several women were present for evening prayers.
according to reports,security staff prevented the man from entering the building several times due to suspicious behavior. He then allegedly smashed a window with a brick and threw an incendiary device inside.Police arrived quickly and apprehended the suspect.
The building was evacuated, and the area was cordoned off while British army bomb disposal officers examined and removed the device. The Belfast Islamic Centre, which has over 11,000 members from more than 40 nationalities, reopened today.
