Tenco 2025: Songwriting Festival Lineup & Details

SanremoThis morning, the press conference was held at the Club Tenco headquarters on the occasion of the first evening dedicated to Songwriting Festival 2025which will start tonight at 9pm at the Ariston theatre. This year’s edition will have as its theme “With memory”, on the occasion of the thirty years since the death of the “father” of the event, Amilcare Rambaldi.

To open the event, Ginevra di Marcowinner of the plaque “Best album as a performer“, who stated the following: “This album comes five years after my last album as a performer. This is the fourth plaque that I have won, and I am very honoured, because for me the Tenco award represents commitment and attention to music. In the last twenty years we have always thought that music should not be locked into patterns, but a free energy that transcends cultures. Music is a river that flows in a thousand directions. In this album of mine texts that were written for the project, arrangements and revisited music coexist. “Kaleidoscope“was born from the idea of recovering the concept of the 70s: it is a political, social and cultural journey, where we try to tell the world. Music is like an instrument of reflection and change. This album lives on the participation and contribution of many friends and musicians, such as the poet Franco Arminio; Armando Punzo, actor and director. It is one of the albums that has satisfied me most in my career”.

Afterwards, he also intervened Goran Bregovicwinner of Tenco Award 2025: «Knowing that Sanremo is interested in a composer like me speaks of Italy as a curious, tolerant country that accepts those who are different. We in the Balkans don’t have opera, for example. And this gap has always been enormous between us and the music of the Western world. Knowing that it is possible for someone like me to receive the Tenco award is a great compliment. This evening I will play a new song of mine, and then some more songs already known in Italy. My ambition is to make music, but also a bit of madness. My motto, in fact, is “he who doesn’t go crazy isn’t normal”.

Furthermore, during the conference, the other artists who will perform this evening during the first of the three events of the event also spoke: Lamante; Emma Nolde; Stefano Tessadri, and Alessio Lega.

Undisputed protagonist not only of tonight’s evening, but also of the conference, Lucio Corsiawarded for “Best album” and “Best single song” with “I wanted to be a guy”, and who will perform four songs from his repertoire this evening.
