Jakarta –
A 18 -year -old girl in Vietnam was rushed to a late hospital with severe pain, only for then the doctor found her kidney almost “turned into a stone.”
Vn Express reported, the teenager arrived at E Hospital with severe lower back pain and nausea. The scanning shows a severe inflammation of the kidney and some stones clogging the ureter, preventing urine from flowing out.
The kidneys are very run away so that it is almost completely hardened.
Doctor Mai Van Luc from the Hospital Urology Department said that the girl did not have a previous health condition but eat instant noodles almost every day, often drink milk tea and almost never drink water.
“Patients undergo emergency surgery to remove stones and are now undergoing treatment with strict lifestyle changes,” the doctor said.
Instant noodles contain lots of salt, preservatives and additives, which burden the kidneys. Milk tea contains a lot of sugar, trans fat and artificial flavorings, which forces the kidneys to work overtime to filter waste.
Drinking too little water worsened this by reducing kidney filtering, causing minerals to accumulate into stones over time.
Doctors warn that kidney stones and other urinary tract problems are increasingly common among young people. Unhealthy eating patterns, often eating fast food and sweet drinks, lack of exercise, and insufficient water intake is the main cause.
Kidney stones used to be rare in adolescents, but now children are starting to be diagnosed.
To protect kidney health, doctors urge young people to drink at least two liters of water every day, limit instant noodles and fast food, reduce milk tea and soft drinks, and remain active with a balanced lifestyle.
