A 49-year-old woman was critically injured in an apartment in Düsseldorf. A witness called the emergency number in the afternoon because there had allegedly been a physical altercation in an apartment on Rather Kreuzweg, the police said. A 16-year-old suspect was arrested on site. The 49-year-old was taken to hospital for intensive medical treatment. The background to the crime was initially unclear. A police homicide squad and the Düsseldorf public prosecutor’s office are investigating.
