Ted Lasso Season 4: Release Date & New Photos Revealed

Notice to fans of Ted Lasso : put on your crampons because the Apple TV series is preparing to return to the football fields in the coming months! In any case, it has never been so close to us, since the tech giant’s streaming service has just revealed new photos from the highly anticipated season 4 of the series, as well as a release window: summer 2026.

Make way for women!

In this new chapter, we will find Ted when he returned to Kansas after his adventure in Richmond. But a new challenge will bring him back to England and the world of football: coaching the Richmond women’s team!

Here is the official synopsis for this fourth season: “Ted returns to Richmond to take on the biggest challenge of his career: coaching a second division women’s soccer team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to act before they think, taking risks they never thought they would take.”

In the new images shared by Apple, we see Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Richmond owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), as well as the trainer in full session alongside Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) and newcomer Tanya Reynolds (seen in Sex Education, Outlander).

On the casting side, viewers will also find Juno Temple (Keeley), Brett Goldstein (Roy) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie), and will see the arrivals of Jude Mack (Back in Action), Faye Marsay (Adolescence), Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World 3: The World After), Abbie Hern (My Lady Jane) et Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi).

It should be noted that Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift and Brendan Hunt are reprising their respective roles for this new season, and that the actors have all signed three-year contracts, thus suggesting that the new chapter in the adventures of Ted Lasso will extend over three seasons.

This season 4 is still produced (among others) by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) et Brett Goldstein (Shrinking), who is also co-writer alongside Sarah Walker, Phoebe Walsh, Julia Lindon and Dylan Marron. As a reminder, Ted Lasso was originally developed by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt from the character that appeared on NBC Sports.

Released in 2020 on the Apple TV platform (which was then called Apple TV+), the series was a real hit and established itself as one of the crown jewels of the streaming service, notably winning 13 Emmy Awards. After a third season which seemed to close the story, the show was finally renewed for (at least) a fourth season which should therefore be released during the summer.

Apple has not provided further details on the release date. This season 4 of Ted Lassocomposed of ten episodes, is therefore expected between the end of June and the end of September 2026. It is very likely that it will choose to be released at the same time as season 1 (mid-August) and season 2 (mid-July). To be continued!
