ANCONA- More than 900 people at the Teatro delle Muse for the tribute to the national Adriano, that “sprung” boy who started singing right in the Dorica and from here, thanks to the talent scout impresarios Sulpizi and Vico, launched his dazzling and multifaceted career. Thus, the Sulvic Association of the Sulpizi and Vico heirs thanks to the patronage of Municipality of Ancona and Marche Theatrestaged the incredible Celentano’s story. Il singer Adolfo Sebastiani and his band (Massimo DI Francesco productions) of twelve musicians (nothing but “lookalikes”!) retraced with 15 songs a repertoire of 50 years of music, which warmed the audience and drew applause mixed with choruses and screams of a rock concert, from “Your kiss is like a rock” which won the Adriatic Song Festival in 1959, to “The boy from via Gluk”, “Pregherò”, “Viola”, “A caress in a fist”, “Azzurro”, “Emotion has no voice”, “Soli”, and so on, with the palpable emotion of experiencing an evening to remember. The narrative part masterfully played by the actor Luca Violins linked the history of Celentano to the Doric capital with fun and light-hearted anecdotes (taken from the book “Gli impresari del rock” by Luca Guazzati) and then the surprise grand finale. Guest of honor Gianni Dall’Aglio, who at 13 years old made his debut as Adriano’s drummer and accompanied him with I Ribelli on the CLAN label.
With the skilled conductor Paolo Notari who also interviewed the president of the Lega del Filo D’Oro Rossano Bartoli on the continuous commitment for the deafblind children hosted in the Osimo facility which celebrated 60 years of activity, Dall’Aglio indulged in memories by telling of when transported by emotion he felt ill due to tachycardia, in the effort of interpretations on the drums which were true works of art, so much so as to amaze even Celentano. And then that day when he visited a cardiologist for checks, whose name was Enzo Iannacci, he said to him in strict Milanese: “Hey boy, don’t worry, a truck is passing through your coronary arteries!”. At a certain point in the evening, Paolo Notari then asks Gianni Dall’Aglio: «But is it true that a particular song by Celentano is considered the forerunner of rap? Do you remember it? How does he do it?”. Gianni doesn’t bat an eyelid, climbs onto the drum platform greeted by the whole band and in the silence the drumming begins. Then the rhythm picks up, the bass comes in. Then the guitar plays the basic chorus. Below are the wild dancers of the Fondazione Arte nella danza – Vis Ballet by Eugenia Morosanu. Finally the singer enters Sebastiani but at that point everyone recognized “Prisencolinesalciusol”. And it’s still the thrill of everyone dancing standing up to the rhythm of that overwhelming and irrepressible music. Truly Ancona could not offer a better tribute to Adriano, unique talent and happy “discovery” of Sulpizi and Vico.
