Taylor Girard Suspension: 3-Game Ban – LPHF

by Archynetys World Desk

NEW YORK ET TORONTO (January 28, 2026) – The Professional Women’s Hockey League (LPHF) announced today that the four-game suspension imposed on New York Sirens forward Taylor Girard has been reduced to three games.

The decision stems from an appeal by the LPHF Players’ Association (AJLPHF) and the holding of an internal hearing. Jayna Hefford, LPHF Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations, acted as hearing officer and concluded that a reduction to three (3) games was appropriate following review of all video replays and submissions submitted by the Association and Girard.

The LPHF suspended Girard following an altercation on the ice at the conclusion of the January 18 game against the Victoire de Montréal, in accordance with rule 72.10 of the LPHF Regulations. She will be eligible to return to play on Thursday February 26, 2026.
