AC Milan secured a decisive 3-1 victory over AS Roma in their Coppa Italia quarter-final match. The victory was marked by a strong collective performance from the Rossoneri, with Tammy Abraham’s brace playing a pivotal role, and a promising debut from new signings Joao Felix and Santiago Gimenez.

Tammy Abraham’s Twin Goals Against Roma

The match began with a electric performance from Tammy Abraham, who scored two goals, both set up by Theo Hernandez. Abraham’s first came from a clever pass by Hernandez, showcasing his ability to read the game and finish with precision. His second, again after an assist from Hernandez, added to Milan’s advantage, putting them 2-0 up at halftime.

Despite the convincing lead, Roma fought back through a goal from Artem Dovbyk, who found the back of the net after coming off the bench. However, the visitors could not find a way to level the score, leaving Milan to celebrate their progression to the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Abraham Addresses the Tribulation

Abraham directed a message to Roma fans following their poor behavior during his substitution. Instead of celebrating, he gestured toward them, miming lifting the Conference League trophy, a highlight of his time with Roma.

“Everybody knows how I feel about Roma; it’s a club that means a lot to me,” Abraham stated in an interview with Sport Mediaset. “It wasn’t nice. I think they thought I celebrated, but I didn’t celebrate, I was just thanking God. This is football, it happens, now we are in the semi-finals and we must be ready to win.”

The Rossoneri’s recent managerial updates and transfer moves are paying off. acquisitions such as Joao Felix and Santiago Gimenez made significant contributions in the match, offering hope for future successes.
