A Pilgrimage of Faith: Personal Intentions delivered

Among the sea of faces was Taliana Vargas, a former Miss Universe runner-up from Colombia. Vargas traveled to Rome not only to bid farewell to Pope Francis but also to deliver the prayers and intentions entrusted to her by faithful believers.

Vargas,known for her role in the popular telenovela ‘Chepe Fortuna,’ shared her experience on social media,highlighting the profound sense of purpose she felt in carrying out this spiritual mission. She also noted that her trip coincided with the Jubilee year, a significant event in the Catholic Church observed every 25 years. The convergence of the Jubilee and the Pope’s funeral provided a unique opportunity for reflection and prayer.

A Historic burial: Pope Francis’s Final Resting Place

Following the public viewing and funeral mass,Pope Francis’s coffin was transported to the Basilica of Santa María la Mayor in Rome for burial. This marks the first time as the passing of Leo XIII in 1903 that a pontiff’s funeral has taken place outside the Vatican.

The burial ceremony was a private affair, presided over by Cardinal Camarlengo Kevin Farrell, and attended by close relatives of the late Pope. The Vatican confirmed that the Argentine Jesuit was laid to rest in a solemn and intimate setting.
