Archynetys.com – in a triumphant return, GSV Hemmingen’s table tennis team has swiftly reclaimed its spot in the Association League after a brief stint in the Landesliga.


Dominant Performance Secures Promotion

After a temporary setback that saw them relegated to the Landesliga, the young and determined squad from GSV Hemmingen demonstrated resilience and skill, securing promotion back to the Association League with two commanding victories. This rapid return highlights the team’s commitment to excellence and their ability to overcome challenges.

Relegation Round Triumph

The relegation round proved to be a showcase of GSV Hemmingen’s strength. Facing SG Schorndorf, the Landesliga runner-up, who had previously conceded the top spot to TSV Korntal, emerged victorious with a decisive 9-3 win. despite a slightly shaky start in the doubles matches (1-2),the team quickly found its rhythm. Stellar performances from Moritz Provoznik, Fabian Haid, Lennart Provoznik, Philip Blazeski, Tim Blazeski, and Jens Reichert in the subsequent singles matches solidified their lead, bringing the score to a decisive 7-2.

Unstoppable Against SV Salamander Kornwestheim

the team’s dominance was even more pronounced in their second match against Association League team SV Salamander Kornwestheim. GSV Hemmingen displayed an almost flawless performance, securing a resounding 9-1 victory. Jens Reichert was the only player to concede a game, with all other singles matches resulting in wins for Hemmingen. This overwhelming victory underscored the team’s readiness to compete at a higher level.

Captain’s Reflection on the Season

captain Lennart Provoznik reflected on the season’s uncertainties, stating, Before the season, we didn’t really know where the journey was going as my brother Moritz was not available in the preliminary round due to a semester abroad. However, the return of Fabian Haid from lisbon considerably bolstered the team’s prospects. While TSV Korntal ultimately claimed the Landesliga championship, Provoznik believes his team is superior, citing their 9-2 victory in the second leg as evidence. In my opinion, we are better than Korntal, which we demonstrated in the 9-2 in the second leg, he asserted.

This promotion marks a notable milestone for GSV hemmingen’s men’s team, representing their greatest achievement as their promotion in 2021/2022. The club also boasts a strong youth program,highlighted by their remarkable fifth-place finish at the German team championships in the youth 19 category in 2022. This consistent success across different age groups demonstrates the club’s commitment to developing talent and fostering a winning culture.

The team’s success is built on a foundation of homegrown talent and strategic acquisitions.The Provoznik brothers and the Blazeski brothers are products of Hemmingen’s youth system, while Jens Reichert joined from Markgröningen and Fabian Haid arrived from SV Leonberg/Eltingen several years ago.Under the guidance of coaches Szilvia Kahn and Mark Provoznik, these players have flourished, developing into high-performing athletes.
