T4T FEST Celebrates Trans Artists at the Brick Theater

A week-long festival showcasing the talent adn creativity of trans artists takes center stage in Williamsburg.
The vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood of BROOKLYN is set to host T4T FEST: BY trans artists, FOR trans audiences from June 3-8 at the brick Theater. Produced by Noah Pyzik, the festival promises a “powerhouse lineup of rollicking farce, romance, sci-fi, mystery, drag, and more.No trauma mining here,” according to organizers.
Among the headlining plays is The Pride of Lions by Trans black Filipinx theatre artist Roger Q. Mason. é boylan will direct, with Gaven Trinidad serving as dramaturg.
Mason reflects on the play’s enduring relevance: “the events which inspired this play took place almost 100 years ago, yet the homophobic and transphobic attitudes it explores have not changed. The Pride of Lions is a testament to the everlasting resilience that queer folks have had to muster to survive in America. But more importantly,it is a festivity of the love which surpasses hate-then,now,and forever.”
Tickets range from $25-50, with each performance running for 120 minutes. The festival schedule includes:
