Manuel schad has kicked off the German Cross Country series (GCC) season wiht a remarkable performance in the Big Twins class. despite facing initial setbacks in preparing his motorcycle, Schad secured a strong second-place finish at the Triptis opener, demonstrating his skill and adaptability.

The Triptis course, known for its accessibility to larger, two-cylinder machines, provided a balanced mix of terrain and overtaking opportunities. Schad noted that while the engine wasn’t perfectly tuned, he strategically managed his speed on the long straight to avoid unnecessary risks, ultimately securing a podium finish.

Venusberg’s Slippery Conditions Test Riders

Following the Triptis race, Schad headed to Venusberg in the Ore Mountains for the second round. With his motorcycle now fully prepared and sporting a new pink sticker, Schad faced a significantly more challenging surroundings. Heavy rain transformed the course into a treacherous, slippery surface, especially in the slate slab section, which resembled an ice rink.

The route was sophisticated and put drivers such as machine on a hard test – especially with a two -cylinder, which is not always easy to act on such close, technical terrain.

Despite the demanding conditions, Schad demonstrated his expertise by securing a third-place finish. This result underscores his ability to navigate challenging terrain and maintain a competitive edge.
