A Season of Change and Possibility

Last season saw Englund participate in all 82 regular-season games for the Los Angeles Kings. Though, the current season presented new challenges.Englund found himself on waivers after losing his spot on the Kings’ roster.

the Nashville Predators seized the opportunity, claiming Englund and providing him with increased playing time and confidence. In 24 games with the Predators, englund contributed two assists and accumulated 36 penalty minutes, demonstrating his value to the team. This performance proved sufficient to earn him a contract extension.

Contract Details and Financial Implications

The new one-year agreement with Nashville is valued at $775,000. While this represents a slight decrease from his previous $1 million salary, it signifies the Predators’ belief in his continued contribution to the team. This contract reflects the current NHL landscape, where teams are carefully managing their salary caps while seeking valuable players.

We are excited to have Andreas back. His physicality and willingness to defend his teammates are valuable assets to our team.
