In the 15th minute, Beni Waidacher equalized with a shot over the screen, and 98 seconds before the end of the second period, Lars Steiner turned the situation around with a shot from the right circle.
After 57 seconds of the final act, Viggo Björck equalized a second after the end of the power play, and in time 46:28 Pettersson secured the win for the favorite with a shot from the right circle. Jamiro Reber could have equalized in the 49th minute, but he hit the post. The result was sealed with 47 seconds left on a power play into an empty Pettersson net.
