Sweden Soccer Ranking Drop | FIFA Update

by Archynetys Sports Desk

After first losing the double encounter in the Nations League semi-final against Spain by a total of 0–5 and then the bronze medal match against France by 3–4, Sweden drops to fifth place in the International Football Association (FIFA) world rankings.

Sweden now has two away matches against Italy and Serbia in March when the qualifiers for the World Cup in Brazil 2027 get under way.

Nations League champions Spain maintain their position as world number one ahead of the USA and Germany. EC champions England are fourth. It is also worth noting that North Korea – without even having played a match – climbed to ninth place.
