Markus Jansson takes bronze at the bowling WC in Hong Kong after losing in the semi-finals.
Finland’s Tomas Käyhkö won the semifinal med 2–0.
Earlier on Thursday, Markus Jansson made it to the semi-finals thanks to national team colleague Jesper Svensson.
The battle for a semi-final place was between Jansson and the Dane Dan A Østergaard. In the decider in the group stage, Markus Jansson managed to defeat the Danish Mathias Ankerdal at the same time as Jesper Svensson beat Østergaard.
The WC bronze was Jansson’s third, and the first in singles. In 2021 he took bronze in 3-man and mixed.
