Last December 18th, Nicolò Molteni‘s season and Olympic dreams ended in the Ciaslat area, falling in the sprint downhill in Val Gardena which cost the Como born in 1998 a torn cruciate and meniscus in his left knee.
Today, the Italian sprinter, who had started his World Cup with a great super-g at Copper Mountain (23rd, but with partials close to the top five for almost three quarters of the race), announced that he had undergone surgery at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament and the suturing of the lateral meniscus. “I thank the doctors Andrea Panzeri (president of the federal medical commission, ed.) and Gabriele Thiebat for the… complete service – Nicolò tries to smile – Now a little rest and then we start with the rehabilitation”.
