Longer waiting times feared for patients

All of this has massive effects on the patients, Heitzer criticized: “The emergency care will change in that the Friesach hospital will no longer be accepted and not treated and which then have to be sent to St. Veit or further to Klagenfurt. This is the further way and we assume that the patient will have longer waiting times.”
Stay accident and orthopedic surgery
However, orthopedic surgery and trauma surgery should be preserved. So far there are five aged operating rooms in Friesach. Two new, modern ones are being built. The groundbreaking for the twelve million euro project should be on October 7th: “We think about how the two surgery is only used by trauma surgery and orthopedics. The petition of the employees has already received almost 13,000 signatures from the entire region and runs until October 6th. After that, the signatures of the state government are to be handed over.
