Surabaya‘s Indigo Community: Finding Strength in Shared Abilities

A Hidden Haven for Indigo Individuals

Tucked away on Jalan Petemon Barat, in teh heart of Surabaya, lies an unassuming house. Number 88,almost invisible from the main road, serves as the headquarters for Indigo and Telepati Surabaya (KITS),a community providing a vital support system for individuals believed to possess extraordinary abilities.

KITS: A Sanctuary for Managing Unique Gifts

KITS functions as a forum for those considered to have above-average abilities, offering a space to manage the psychological vulnerabilities that can arise if these abilities are not properly understood and nurtured. According to the World Health Organization, mental health conditions affect millions globally, and specialized support groups like KITS can play a crucial role in promoting well-being within specific populations.

From Facebook to a Physical Hub

Bagus Heri, known as Mpu Batu, leads the KITS community. He recounted its humble beginnings on Facebook, starting with just five active members. The initial meetings took place at the Skin and Gender Hospital on Jalan Indrapura, within a room humorously referred to as the Santet Museum.

As membership grew, the community sought a more permanent location, eventually settling in the Petemon house in 2014. today, KITS boasts over 100 active members and offers a range of programs accessible to the public.

diverse Programs for Holistic Development

KITS offers a variety of programs designed to foster the holistic development of its members. These include:

  • Mystery Road Program (JJM): This program focuses on honing intuition and sensitivity through visits to ancient sites, locations rumored to be haunted, and places of local importance.
  • Therapeutic and Meditation Programs: Designed to promote serenity and mental well-being.
  • Counseling Services: Providing support for individuals navigating the challenges associated with metaphysical experiences.

The Challenges of Being Indigo

Mpu Batu emphasizes that possessing indigo abilities is not always easy. Without proper guidance and control, individuals may experience fatigue, difficulty making decisions, and even psychological distress. He stresses the importance of ongoing therapy and self-regulation to mitigate these potential negative effects.

Therefore, we also expect friends with Indigo abilities to continue to do therapy or control to avoid effects that can interfere with daily activities.

Reframing the Stigma: Ability as an Asset

KITS aims to dispel the stigma surrounding indigo abilities, viewing them not as a “disease” but as a unique asset. The community provides a platform for sharing ideas and experiences, empowering members to harness their abilities for positive purposes.

Yesterday in the community I conveyed, we who have the ability to be more used to practice the skills of our abilities, skills, thinking, and creativity. That is displayed. No longer to see astral or magical things, it is only 25%.

The focus is shifting towards practical submission of intelligence and skills, educating the public about metaphysical concepts in a rational and scientific manner.

Beyond the Spiritual: Social Engagement

KITS extends its activities beyond the spiritual realm, actively engaging in social initiatives such as community service, distributing food during Ramadan, and environmental clean-up efforts. This commitment to social duty demonstrates the community’s desire to contribute positively to society.

Defining Indigo: Beyond Astral Sight

Mpu Batu clarifies that the term “indigo” refers to a combination of blue and red hues within an individual’s aura. He emphasizes that possessing the ability to perceive astral entities or other extraordinary abilities is not the sole determinant of being indigo.

Characteristics ofen observed in indigo children include heightened sensitivity, accurate intuition, visionary thinking, irregular sleep patterns, and a preference for solitude. However, mpu Batu underscores that the core essence of being indigo lies in a heightened awareness and connection to the universe.

So indigo is our study of the value of intelligence. The value in which he can feel something with this universe. But to see things like that (occult) is very relative.
