This Monday (29), the final round of the first round of the NBB classification phase took place and with that, the Super 8 Cup clashesa tournament that brings together the eight best from the first part of the championship, which will be held between January 24th and 31st. The champion wins a place in the BCLA (Champions League of the Americas).
The classified teams had already been known since Saturday, as with the results of the previous round, none of the teams below eighth place would be able to enter the top 8. Thus, the round before the new year served to define the clashes.
Franca and Minas competed for third place. The São Paulo team took third place after beating Rio Claro, while Minas was losing to Unifacisa, however, the Minas Gerais team managed to take the game to extra time, won and will face Corinthians, while Franca was in fourth place and will host Brasília in the quarterfinals.
