Strongest Dragon Ball Villains 2025: Ranked

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

Anime fans have fallen in love with Dragon Ball for many different reasons, yet there’s continued passion for debates that attempt to determine who is the series’ strongest. Dragon Ball makes it clear that power and transformations aren’t the only things that are important. Nevertheless, these flashy spectacles easily dominate Dragon Ball’s storytelling.

Dragon Ball’s heroes keep surpassing their limits, but it’s only because they’re put up against increasingly powerful threats. There have been some truly dangerous Dragon Ball antagonists throughout the franchise’s run, not all of whom get the respect that they deserve. Now that Dragon Ball is in a bit of a holding pattern until 2026, it’s the perfect time to consider who are currently the series’ strongest villains.

Baby Is A Neo Machine Mutant Tuffle Who Can Parasitically Possess An Entire Population

Baby marks a critical turning point in Dragon Ball GT and he remains one of the franchise’s most unique antagonists due to his parasitic nature. Baby can operate on his own, but he does all his best work when he’s taken control of Vegeta and embraced this Baby Vegeta union. In this sense, Baby’s strength is ultimately limited by his host vessel’s abilities. Baby causes widespread destruction while Vegeta is under his control and he even holds his own against Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form.

Baby’s true power is the hive mind thrall that he’s able to trigger in an entire population. Baby centralizes his power in Vegeta, but he possesses the majority of Earth’s population, who help him achieve his goals and get in the heroes’ way. At one point in Dragon Ball GTBaby is simultaneously controlling Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks. Under the right circumstances, Baby is one of Dragon Ball’s most dangerous villains.

Fused Zamasu Is The Immortal Synthesis Of Gods

Dragon Ball Super’s “Future” Trunks Saga returns to the reliable idea of an evil Goku doppelgänger as a worthy way to create dramatic tension. Goku Black is joined by Future Zamasu, who are later revealed to be two signs of the same coin and the culmination of an elaborate scheme and several wishes upon the Super Dragon Balls. Goku Black and Future Zamasu turn to the Potara Earrings to combine their powers and become Fused Zamasuwho takes on a newly exalted status. He even acquires a divine halo-like design. Fused Zamasu’s power is shown to be on par with Vegito Blue or Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks.

Fused Zamasu gets an extra boost here because he retains Future Zamasu’s immortality. Fused Zamasu is only “half immortal,” but this still protects him against attacks that would have otherwise killed him. Fused Zamasu may become corrupted from these devastating attacks. He’s still alive and able to keep on fighting. Arguably, Infinite Zamasu – Fused Zamasu’s corrupt, metastasizing evolution that’s triggered through his destruction – is even stronger. However, Infinite Zamasu feels less like an actual villain and more like a toxic force of nature.

Jiren Stands Tall Against The Multiverse’s Strongest In The Tournament Of Power

Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power is a sprawling battle royale brawl between the strongest fighters from across the universe. Universe 7 quickly recognizes Universe 11’s Jiren as their greatest competition. Jiren, a Pride Trooper, is a reserved individual with a tortured past who channels this pain into remarkable power. Jiren packs a hefty punch in his base state, but during the Tournament of Power he also ascends to his Full Power and Super Full Power states.

Super Full Power Jiren keeps up with Ultra Instinct Goku, which is no small feat, and easily proves himself to be the Tournament’s strongest fighter. In the end, it takes a group strike from Goku, Frieza, and Android 17 to defeat Jiren and even then it’s not a clean victory. Jiren’s accomplishments are slightly limited by the fact that he hasn’t been seen since the Tournament of Power, despite Dragon Ball Super moving forward with progressively stronger villains. The fact that Jiren still makes the cut is a testament to his heightened power level.

Omega Shenron Synthesizes The Shadow Dragons’ Collective Strength

It’s a bit of a challenge to compare Dragon Ball GT’s villains to those from Dragon Ball Super because the power scaling between series is so markedly different. That being said, Omega Shenron’s strength is undeniable. Goku and Pan have to take on seven evil Shadow Dragons during Dragon Ball GT’s final saga. This reaches a frightening climax when Syn Shenron absorbs his defeated Shadow Dragon peers’ Dragon Balls so that he transforms into Omega Shenron. Omega Shenron isn’t just stronger than his predecessor, but he acquires all the other Shadow Dragons’ abilities.

This in itself is a wild advantage when techniques like Rage Shenron’s Electrime Slime can heal and restore energy. Omega Shenron is stronger than both Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta, although he’s completely overwhelmed by Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. It’s difficult to compare the power of Super Saiyan 4 fusion with Dragon Ball Super’s more divine upgrades like Ultra Instinct and Gohan Beast. Omega Shenron, through his skills alone, is still among Dragon Ball’s strongest.

King Gomah’s Power Continues To Multiply Thanks To The Totemic Evil Third Eye

Dragon Ball DAIMAthe franchise’s newest series and Akira Toriyama’s final contribution, is curiously set between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Despite DAIMA’s placement in the grander Dragon Ball timeline, it doesn’t have any issues when it comes to messing with continuity. This results in both Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, both of whom give their all against the Demon Realm’s corrupt ruler, King Gomah. Gomah doesn’t pose much of a threat in his typical state. He manages to acquire the legendary Demon Realm relic, the Evil Third Eye, which elevates his powers to unimaginable heights.

The Evil Third Eye continually boosts Gomah’s power and keeps him alive, even when he faces seemingly fatal attacks. It’s by far the most extreme power boost that’s ever been seen in Dragon Ball. All of ALWAYS’s strongest characters still can’t defeat King Gomah, purely when it comes to power and endurance. King Gomah’s strength isn’t in question, but the Evil Third Eye does have a very debilitating weakness that can quickly reverse the transformation’s effects.

Planet-Eater Moro Has Brought Extinction To Over 300 Planets

Planet-Eater Moro is an ancient magic user who has been around for millions of years, with a good portion of that time being left to plot away in a Galactic Patrol Prison cell. Dragon Ball Super’s Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga sees Moro’s comprehensive plan go into action. Moro’s prolific magic makes him a challenging target and he’s consumed over 320 planets – taking out an entire star system – in his pursuit of greater power.

Moro uses the Dragon Balls to regain his youth and the superior skills that come with it, but he proceeds to absorb formidable individuals, like Seven-Three and Merus, to reach new heights. Moro’s peak power can only be conquered by Goku’s Perfected Ultra Instinct, alongside Vegeta’s Forced Spirit Fission for additional support. Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku creates a giant energy avatar that fights against Moro, who has fused with the Earth, while Vegeta consistently siphons more strength into Goku’s attack. It’s the first time that Goku taps into the true peak of Ultra Instinct power.

The Heeter Force’s Gas Gains Superior Strength Through A Diabolical Dragon Ball Wish

The Dragon Balls have always been able to grant remarkable requests. However, Dragon Ball Super’s Granolah the Survivor Saga introduces a new facet of wishes that has become somewhat controversial among fans. Planet Cereal’s Dragon Balls are used to make both Granolah and Gas the strongest individuals in Universe 7. This extreme wish is granted, but at the expense of their lifespans being significantly shortened as a result. This is especially tragic for Gas of the Heeter Force because he doesn’t even make this wish himself. It’s a burden that’s put on him by his older brother, Elec.

Nevertheless, the somewhat passive Gas is thrust into a perilous position where he goes up against Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah. Gas’ Dragon Ball-boosted strength turns him into an unstoppable machine whose body continues to fight, even when it’s expended all his energy and is on borrowed time. Gas meets a tragic fate when everything is said and done. It’s still incredibly impressive that Inner Nature Unleashed Gas and Awakened Form Gas are stronger than Ultra Ego Vegeta, True Ultra Instinct Goku, and Full-Power Granolah combined.

Hearts Seeks To Rewrite The Universe & Establish A New Status Quo

As challenging as it is to reconcile Dragon Ball GT‘s power scaling with Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball DAIMAit’s even more difficult to make sense of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Super Dragon Ball Heroes has its share of original villains, such as Cumber, Fu, and the Crimson-Masked Saiyan. Hearts is an individual who makes a distinct impression due to his “God Hater” status and a desire to completely rewrite the multiverse’s rules.

Hearts shares a lot in common with Zamasu, but he comes across as an even stronger and more terrifying take on the idea. Hearts’ power continues to grow in his Super Hearts and Ultimate Form, the latter of which is also known as Perfect Hearts. In this state, Hearts easily overpowers many of Dragon Ball’s strongest threats, like Jiren, Fused Zamasu, Omega Shenron, and Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly.

Majin Ozotto’s Insatiable Hunger Has Helped Him Consume The Universe’s Strongest

Majin Ozotto has had one of the most surprising glow-ups for any Dragon Ball character. The fringe foe was introduced in an obscure arcade game that never left Japan, Dragon Ball Z: V.R.V.S.before making an unexpected return, decades later, in Dragon Ball Heroes. Majin Ozotto is basically a combination of Buu and Cell. He’s a Majin with an insatiable appetite who is driven by a hunger to eat the strongest beings in existence. Not only does Majin Ozotto acquire their powers, but he can separate himself into endless clones who resemble those he has eaten. Super Dragon Ball Heroes presents Majin Ozotto as its final enemywhich elevates him to a tier that’s hard to top.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes indicates that Majin Ozotto isn’t just stronger than all of Dragon Ball’s past villains, including Hearts, but that the heroes’ various transformations and fusions still fall short. Majin Ozotto is finally defeated when Ultra Instinct Goku performs the Silver Dragon Fist – a unique Ultra Instinct-powered variation of the technique – that destroys the villain. Even after all this, Majin Ozotto is still alive in some capacity and his surviving remnant is captured and contained by Supreme Kai Aeos.

Black Frieza Is The Scary Synthesis Of A Decade Of Dedicated Training

Dragon Ball Super’s status remains in limbo as 2025 starts to come to a close, yet an epic battle against Black Frieza seems to be all but guaranteed whenever the franchise resumes. Dragon Ball fans have only gotten a brief look at Black Frieza, but the villain’s new transformation has already set insurmountable standards that the heroes have been working to reach ever since. Black Frieza is responsible for the death of Gas, which is something that Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah were unable to accomplish. Frieza explains that he’s spent a decade in a time-dilated pocket dimension in which he did nothing but train.

Black Frieza is the result of this and he’s so confident in his power that he’s ready to take on the Zeno twins and become God Emperor of the multiverse. Less is apparently more with Black Frieza, but what’s been seen of him so far indicates that he’s Dragon Ball’s strongest villain and likely the franchise’s final foe. The heroes are going to need the combined power of Ultra Instinct, Ultra Ego, Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo, and Legendary Super Saiyan strength to take out this tyrant.
