On Wednesday, December 10, the Bank of Latvia will issue a silver collection coin “Straume“, dedicated to the animated film that won the “Oscar” award, the Bank of Latvia informed.
The main character of the animated film “Stream” is depicted on the front side of the coin – a dark gray cat with large yellow eyes. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, the inscription in English “Flow” is placed in a semicircle on the left, “Straume” on the right.
On the other hand, the reverse side of the coin shows the other characters of the animated film “Stream” – a dog, a cat, a capybara, a lemur and a bird.
The mintage of the coin is 6,000 copies.
The weight of the coin is 22 grams, and the diameter is 35 millimeters. The authors of the graphic design of the coin are director Gints Zilbalodis and Pēteris Tenisons.
The purchase of silver collection coins will be possible on the website “e-monetas.lv” from December 10 at 12. The price of a coin at the Bank of Latvia will be 77 euros, while the purchase limit for one person will be three coins.
