Environmental concerns: Yellow Dust and Fine Dust Impact Air quality

On the environmental front, much of the nation is experiencing poor air quality due to a combination of yellow dust originating from the Gobi Desert and locally generated fine dust. The presence of yellow dust mixed with rain is exacerbating the situation. The metropolitan area, particularly Incheon and northern Gyeonggi, is expected to experience “bad” levels of fine dust concentration. Southern Seoul and Gyeonggi may also experience temporary spikes in fine dust levels during the morning and evening.
