MVP’s Exit Signals a Shift for Karlskoga
BIK Karlskoga faces a significant challenge as star defenseman and reigning MVP Henrik “Henke” Larsson confirms his departure from teh team. After a stellar season, larsson’s decision to move on leaves a palpable void, both on the ice and in the locker room.
Henke has been an crucial cog both on and beside the ice and will of course leave a large void behind. BIK wants to thank for time and wish good luck in the future.

A Season to remember: Larsson’s Dominance in Hockeyallsvenskan
Larsson’s impact on BIK Karlskoga this past season was undeniable. He amassed an extraordinary 50 points in 51 regular-season games, followed by 11 points in 12 playoff appearances.His outstanding performance earned him the title of Hockeyallsvenskan’s best defenseman and the coveted MVP award. These statistics underscore his value to the team and the difficulty in finding a suitable replacement.
Notably, Larsson’s 50 points placed him among a select few defensemen in Hockeyallsvenskan history to reach that milestone in a single season. His 40 assists were also the second-highest ever recorded by a defenseman, surpassed only by johan Åkerman’s record.
Larsson’s Legacy: A BIK Karlskoga Icon
Having played 523 games for BIK Karlskoga, Henrik Larsson ranks ninth in all-time appearances for the club. His 289 points place him sixth in the club’s history, making him the highest-scoring defenseman to ever wear the Bofors jersey. His departure marks the end of an era for the team.
I want to thank all “BIKs” for four great seasons. It has always been an honor and pride to play in my parent club Bofors and I will of course continue to follow the team, but now at a distance.

Rebuilding Begins: Karlskoga Faces Multiple Departures
Beyond Larsson’s high-profile exit, BIK Karlskoga is also parting ways with several other players, including Johan Motin, Leevi Aaltonen, Jesper Norbäck, Hugo Lejon, Måns Krämer, Stefan Milosevic, Eskild Bakke Olsen, Stelio Mattheos, Christoffer Jansson and Samuel Jonsson. These departures collectively present a significant challenge for the team as thay look to rebuild for the upcoming season. The team will need to strategically address these roster gaps to remain competitive in the Hockeyallsvenskan league.
