Steve Miller Band:
The rock band “Steve Miller Band” is scheduled to play 31 concerts in the next few months. A strong gut feeling makes them turn around.

For over 60 years, Steve Miller (81) has followed the intuition and made some of the rock’s most durable songs on the road.
Appeared after 37 years
The same inner voice now gets him, and the rest of the “Steve Miller Band”, to pull the emergency brake before the tour bus has rolled out from the first stop at all.
Pointing to the intuition
The tour, which was to take the band through 31 American cities from August to November, is canceled in its entirety. And it is not because of illness, ticket sales or technical problems.
“You make music with intuition. You live life with intuition. Always trust your intuition, ”says the band’s announcement.
And it is the intuitive sense that has notified them that it is not the time to cross a continent characterized by increasingly extreme weather.
The band highlights a combination of “extremely warm, unpredictable floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and huge forest fires”, which they believe together pose an excessive risk.

Rock legend Bjørn Müller is dead
“So … You can blame the weather. The tour is canceled. We don’t know where, we don’t know when … but we hope to see you again. Take care of each other, ”they finally write.
It is worth noting that the message from the band comes just after extreme weather led to floods in the Texas area, where more than 120 people were killed, and 170 are still missing.

– Concert venues should boycott you
The news has aroused strong reactions among fans, many are angry and disappointed.
“You cancel the whole tour …. Due to nature? This is just stupid, ”one writes.
“The concert venues should just boycott this band and not book them in the future, with such a thin apology,” writes another angry fan.

By another world
“Then they don’t have to advertise tours at all … Just give up. Unfortunately, weather events happen, that’s how it is. Nobody likes it, but all year things happen. Summer, winter, and autumn with a hurricane season. You either customize or you complain about nature at home. What an incredibly bad excuse, ”a third writes.
Steve Miller turned 81 earlier this year, and although he is still considered a steady live artist, the announcement puts a damper on the hope that there will be a few more tours with the veteran band.

When “Steve Miller Band” was started in San Francisco in 1966, the original crew consisted of Steve Miller himself, bassist Lonnie Turner, keyboardist Jim Peterman, drummer Tim Davis and guitarist James “Curley” Cooke.
Miller is the only one who still lives.
After being incorporated into “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2016, he has breathed new life into the catalog of re -releases and collaboration with the Universal Music Group.
For someone who used to sing about “getting away with the money”, it may be a bit poetic that he now refuses the whole tour. The intuition that has followed him through a lifetime of music obviously also decides now.
