St.Gallen Break-ins: Car & Cash Thefts Reported

The break-in into a single-family home on Kehr in Gommiswald was noticed on Friday afternoon. An unknown perpetrator gained violent entry into the house through a window. She searched all the rooms and stole jewelry worth several thousand francs.

On Langrütistrasse in Goldach, an unknown perpetrator entered an apartment building between Wednesday evening and Friday morning and forcibly opened a coin container in the basement. She stole cash worth around one hundred francs.

On the night of Thursday to Friday, an unknown perpetrator tried to force his way into a business property on Favrestrasse in St.Gallen. It remained an attempt.

On the same night, an unknown perpetrator broke into a company on Böschachstrasse in Widnau. She gained access to the building using a key that had been forcibly stolen from a key box and searched the premises. She stole cash worth several hundred francs. Another break-in at a carpentry shop on the same street failed.

On Friday, shortly before 1:30 a.m., an unknown perpetrator broke into a car garage on Alte Landstrasse in Altstätten. She forced entry into the building through a gate and broke open a key cabinet. She then stole two cars worth around 130,000 francs. The perpetrators previously attached license plates that had been stolen in the neighborhood to the two vehicles and fled abroad with the stolen cars.
