Sprouts Farmers Market is offering 20% discounts to mark the opening of its first grocery store in Carson City in September. Here’s how to get it.

Carson City residents soon won’t need to drive all the way to Reno to get their Sprouts Farmers Market fix.

According to the company, the first Sprouts Farmers Market in Nevada’s capital will open Friday, Sept. 5 at 3193 Market St., No. 110, near East College Parkway.

The Carson City store will be Sprouts’ fourth location in Northern Nevada and its 17th in the state.

Sprouts is holding a grand opening weekend event Sept. 5-7. Here is a list of giveaways and promotions planned for the event:

  • Customers get 20% off during opening weekend if they sign up for a Sprouts Rewards account online. Customers can then enter their phone number or scan their barcode when shopping in-store. They can also use the promo code CITYGO20 when shopping online.
  • A free reusable goodie bag that contains products and samples for the first 200 shoppers on Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday Sept. 6.
  • Free long-stem roses from Falcon Farms Floral for the first 400 customers on Friday, Sept. 5.
  • Free tastings of seasonal produce at a pop-up party tasting bar outside and at the indoor Vendor Village inside the store.

The Carson City Sprouts will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m every day.

Sprouts opened its first Reno store in 2017 at South Meadows Parkway. Since then, it opened one at Reno Public Market on Plumb Lane and one in Sparks at 125 Disc Drive.

Sprouts Farmers Market has 450 stores in 24 states and employs about 35,000 workers.
