The deadline for the first speed camera census was respected: 28 November 2025.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport informs that the official list of speed detection devices and systems authorized in the national territory has been online since yesterday.
The list, provided for by article 1, paragraphs 3 and 4, of the decree of the Director General for Motor Vehicles no. 367 of 29 September 2025, and can be consulted at this link.
The publication comes at the end of the time foreseen for the national census, the operations were concluded in line with the deadlines for sending data by the administrations and bodies on which the traffic police bodies depend.
This is an essential step to guarantee the full legitimacy of use of the tools for verifying speed limit violations.
Through the telematic platform set up by the MIT, the bodies have indicated, for each device: brand, model, version, serial number where present, details of the MIT approval or homologation decree, as well as kilometer location (if necessary) and direction of travel.
All data transmitted are automatically published and freely consultable on the institutional portal of the Ministry.
The above, as provided for in article 5, paragraph 2, of directorial decree no. 305 of 18 August 2025, the updates will continue even after the deadline, according to the methods established by the decree itself.
