Viktor Vitályos (18) became the new reinforcement of Sparta Prague. The left-footed Hungarian stopper, who played 10 matches for MTK Budapest in the ongoing NB I season, should leave the Letná club for two million euros (about 48 million crowns), according to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. He will join Prague from the new season.

Vitályos, who has played a total of 12 competitive matches for MTK Budapest, is a regular member of the youth national team of Hungary and his preferred position is left stopper.

“Viktor is a player who is improving at a very fast pace in his career, which is why we decided not to wait any longer, to act quickly and secure his future with us. We believe in his potential and want to be sure that such a talented defender will grow with us.” said the sports director of the big club from Letná Tomáš Rosický.

A native of Budapest, he worked mainly in Ferencváros in the youth, from where he transferred to Puskás Academy in 2021. Here, at the age of 17, he made his first start in professional football.

After a six-month loan spell in the second division Aqvital FC Csákvár, he moved to MTK. Czech midfielder Jakub Plšek is also currently defending his colors, while Adrian Zeljkovič went on loan to the same club from Viktoria Plzeň in the winter.

On the youth representative stage, Vitályos made over 20 starts. He has now signed a multi-year contract at Letná, and will join coach Brian Priske’s team for pre-season training.
