SpareBank 1 Rates: Horror Costs & Bank Response

by Archynetys Economy Desk

Dagens Næringsliv mentions the interest rates for people more guardians, of which there are over 60,000 in Norway.

These are people who cannot take their own interests.

The funds of these persons are handled by a guardian, under the supervision of the state manager.

The banks have their own offers for people with guardians. Most of these have liquid interest rates without bonding.

And this is where the newspaper has found the elevenville interest rate for Sparebank 1 Northern Norway.

– hurt to watch

0.15 per cent is the interest rate the bank has offered customers with guardians. For other customers, they offer 2.35 percent.

“Of course, this has been a pain to look at, and even though we are not responsible in addition to informing, we have taken some extra rounds with the guardians of the guardians with the highest deposits and thus miss out on significant interest income,” writes the state manager in Nordland.

DN writes that about NOK 166 million has been in the bank with this interest rate.

Has turned up the interest rate

– Here we simply have to lay flat, says Reidar Buch Sivertsen, process manager for savings and investment, to DN.

The bank has adjusted its offer to 2.1 per cent, which is similar to regular savings accounts without bonds.

2020 is the last bank adjusted on this interest rate.

– This has probably fallen a little between two chairs. And we can probably see that we have not followed this up the way we should and therefore do the steps we do now, says Sivertsen to the newspaper.
