KOMPAS.com – Elon Musk‘s space transportation company, SpaceX, is reportedly going to take the floor on the stock exchange, aka conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
According to quoted sources Bloomberg, SpaceX targets to obtain fresh funds of more than 30 billion US dollars (around Rp. 499 trillion) in this initial public offering.
If collected, these transactions will be recorded as the IPO with the largest value in stock market history.
The injection of funds will also increase SpaceX’s valuation to 1.5 trillion US dollars (around Rp. 24,986 trillion) and surpass Facebook’s largest IPO to date.
Facebook took the floor on the stock exchange in 2012, bringing the valuation of the company which changed its name to Meta to 104 billion US dollars (around Rp. 1,732 trillion).

As for SpaceX’s IPO, according to sources, it will likely take place at the end of 2026 or 2027.
SpaceX itself was founded in 2002 and has received funding of almost 12 billion US dollars (around Rp. 199 trillion), from a number of investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Craft Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, and Founders Fund.
Until October 2025, SpaceX has been named the most valuable private company supported by venture capital in the world. The company owned by one of the world’s richest people is reported to have a valuation of 400 billion US dollars (around Rp. 6,662 trillion).
However, SpaceX’s position was overtaken by OpenAI when it posted a valuation of 500 billion US dollars (around Rp. 8,327 trillion) in early October 2025.
SpaceX’s potential as a company with the largest IPO could also be overtaken by other companies. Because, two startup Artificial intelligence, namely OpenAI and Anthropic, are also reportedly considering plans to list on the stock exchange.

OpenAI is reportedly targeting an IPO valuation of up to 1 trillion US dollars (around Rp. 16,658 trillion), with plans for an initial public offering around 2026.
