The great cartoonist Joe Sacco in 2000 was sent by Details, the magazine for which he worked, on tour with the icons of the Hill Country Blues. A comic called The Rude Blues came out which deserves a narrative in its own right. For the occasion he traveled in the direction of North Mississippi where he met, among others, RL Burnside. It would be interesting to ask him if in the Masnada of Robert Lee’s children and grandchildren, he had the fate of meeting Kent Chee from the legendary grandfather seems to have inherited the self -denial to the craft of musician. He was guitarist in the Jimbo Mathus band, at the court of Buddy Guy for some time and in the meantime a lot of experience. On this occasion, his best album ever, which emerges as writing and execution are finally solid and expressive. Roles voice and powerful guitarism, Kent puts together a value band where Garry Burnside on bass and Damian Pearson shine, already in the memphissippi, to the harmonica. Beyond the title-track stand out, songs like the mighty Rob & Steal (tribute to Paul “Wine” Jones), the hypnotic One More Chance and acoustics I Miss You.
