This council was established to jointly respond to various youth crimes such as deepfake videos, online gambling, and school violence, which have recently emerged as social problems. Effective cooperation measures were specified, such as establishing an information sharing system between agencies and promoting customized prevention programs for each region.

In particular, the issue of exposure of reclusive youth to crime and the prevention of new digital sex crimes were addressed as major agenda items. Participants agreed on the need to block the influx of crime through online platforms and improve the protection system for victimized youth.

In addition, in preparation for the period when juvenile delinquency increases around the CSAT, we agreed to expand prevention activities involving schools and local communities. Each police station and office of education in the province plans to prevent youth crimes in advance by strengthening patrols, inspecting crime-prone areas around schools, and carrying out activities to protect youth outside of school.

An official from the South Chungcheong Province Autonomous Police Committee said: Youth crime cannot be prevented through the efforts of one organization alone.”He said, “We will do our best to create a safe Chungnam for youth by establishing a close cooperation system with the Provincial Police Agency and the Office of Education on a regular basis.”

Chungcheongnam-do plans to strengthen cooperation between related organizations to respond to the spread of new crimes targeting youth and promote effective prevention policies through regular consultative bodies. Through this, it is expected to increase safety awareness throughout the community and improve the protection system for youth at risk.
