Sooshi Mango is one of Australia’s most successful and beloved comedy shows, created by brothers Joe and Carlo Salanitri and their great friend Andrew Manfre. What started just nine years ago as casual comedy clips, filmed from a car, quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Their relatable, character-driven humor based on the experiences of immigrant families has earned them record-breaking live shows, viral global reach and a loyal audience across Australia and beyond.
The trio has achieved unprecedented success in the world of live entertainment, becoming the only comedy show to sell out Rod Laver Arena and Qudos Bank Arena on multiple occasions (three and two in a row, respectively). His accolades include an AACTA Award for Favorite Australian Digital Comedy Creator and a featured role in the hit film comedy Wog Boys Forever. His transformative 2022 Off the Boat Tour sold more than 125,000 tickets across Australia and marked his international leap, with sold-out performances in North America (including Toronto, New York, Chicago, Vancouver and Boston) and two sold-out shows in London. These performances introduced his uniquely Australian and ethnically inspired comedy to a global audience.
Digitally, Sooshi Mango has become a powerhouse, racking up over a billion views and cultivating an online community of over 8 million followers worldwide. Their characters, Johnny, Vince and Sam, along with Giuseppina, Carmela and Angela, have become iconic tributes to migrant parents and grandparents, combining affectionate parody with universal humor. They also hold the record for the most viral video ever produced in Australia, with over 170 million views and counting.
Beyond stage and screen, the trio has expanded their creative universe to hospitality and media. In 2023, they opened Johnny, Vince & Sam’s Ristorante on Melbourne’s Lygon Street, where their characters were transformed into a restaurant with a theatrical atmosphere. They launched the Sooshi Mango podcast, performed at the Dubai Comedy Festival, and sold out the Palais Theater twice while filming their first TV feature.
The years 2024 and 2025 marked continued growth with important collaborations and cultural recognition. Highlights include a creative collaboration with The Wiggles, a scheduled appearance on Carols in the Domain, and advancing the expansion of his restaurant brand with a new fast-food venture. Their appointment as Moomba Monarchs 2025 is one of Melbourne’s highest cultural honours.
Their most ambitious live project to date, the HOME MADE tour, kicked off in 2024 and quickly became a national phenomenon. The initial tour required numerous additional dates due to overwhelming demand, exceeding 30 concerts in stadiums across Australia. The 2025 HOME MADE ENCORE tour added more than 15 additional concerts, many of which sold out instantly, making up the largest and most successful touring era in the group’s history.
Looking ahead, Sooshi Mango will take HOME MADE internationally in 2026, touring North America and Europe and further cementing their place as a globally recognized comedy act.
