The history

While simple compact cameras have largely disappeared from the market due to the success of smartphones, high-quality models, which are referred to as noble compacts, are still enjoying great popularity among accomplished photographers. The noble compacts score with many setting options and high image quality at Sony, it is the very small, cigarette box-large models of the RX100 series that convince with zoom, image sensor of the 1-inch type and very good image quality. That series was started in 2012 and at the same time Sony with the RX1 launched a larger model with image sensor in full frame and built-in fixed focal length-a 35mm wide angle. A few months later, the RX1 was added to the RX1R variant in front of the sensor without antiaaliasing files, while in 2015 the RX1R II followed. Today, after a long time, the third generation has been announced with the RX1R III, according to Sony, the youngest model should redefine timeless image quality and shine with the latest performance in a compact form.
