DAVAO CITY – A significant figure in the Philippines’ communist insurgency has fallen. Soldiers fatally eliminated Myrna Sularte, alias Maria Malaya, the widow of former NPA leader Jorge Madlos, in Barangay Pianing, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte on Wednesday, February 12.
