Oregon Ducks Prepare for UCLA Matchup, Adjust USC Game Date

Oregon’s soccer team is set to begin Big ten Conference play with a challenging match against No. 4 UCLA in Los Angeles this Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on B1G+.
Last season’s encounter between these two teams was a tightly contested affair. The Ducks maintained a 1-0 advantage over the Bruins well into the 80th minute. Though,a foul called on Oregon near the penalty area shifted the momentum,ultimately leading to a 2-1 victory for UCLA.

This season, Oregon’s offensive efforts have been distributed among several players:
- Seven different players have scored for Oregon through seven games this season.
- Taylor Bryan, with a brace in the season opener against weber State, is the only player with more then one goal.
- four of those seven players scored their first career NCAA goals – freshmen Sauce Aligens (Weber State) and Addisen Boyer (Seattle) and fifth-year players Sydney chura and chalkboth at Hawai’i (Chura scored 74 goals at the NAIA level).

The ducks have demonstrated their offensive prowess by outshooting their opponents in six of their seven games this season, including each of the last five.
In their Aug. 31 game against Grand Canyon, Oregon unleashed 30 shots, marking their highest single-game total in six years and tying for the fourth-highest in program history. Several players achieved career highs in shots during that game, including Lauren Kenny (6), Cloe Chase (5), Carly Cormack (5) and Ella Osmussen (3).
Schedule Update: USC Game Moved
The game between Oregon and USC has been rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. It was originally slated for Saturday, oct. 4.

Oregon’s offensive statistics place them among the top teams in the Big Ten. They rank sixth in shots per game at 17.3. Notably, they are fourth in shots on goal per game at 7.7 and sixth in shot accuracy (.446).
Addisen Boyer became the seventh Duck to score this season, finding the net Sept. 5 at Seattle. In her first start for Oregon, the Oak Harbor, Wash., native also attempted a career-best four shots in the Ducks’ 2-1 loss.
