On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Welfare sent a proposal to tighten tobacco and nicotine sales hearing.
Among the measures proposed are lower maximum limits for nicotine content, to 12 mg per gram of snus.
The government also proposes a maximum size for snuff bags and a ban on additives.
In the consultation note, the government writes that these proposals could lead to some snus variants no longer being able to be introduced and sold in Norway, unless the nicotine content and size of these are changed.
Snuslageret.no has compiled a list of 212 types of snus they believe will be affected by the proposal. On that list you will find popular snus varieties, such as Epok No1 Ice Blue, Epok No7 Freeze and G. 3 No8 Volt.
The proposal is out for consultation until 17 March.
