Pools open later, weddings take place
Because of the weather, the Bremen pools don’t open until 12 p.m. The interior authority announced this when asked by buten and within. Weddings can take place in Bremen as planned. The registry offices are therefore open regularly.

First restrictions at BSAG

In Bremen, the winter weather is causing the first problems in local transport. According to BSAG, bus lines 94 and 95 in Bremen-Nord will be rerouted in both directions between Seefahrtstrasse and Stader Landstrasse. In addition, the Lesum/Kirche and Stehnckenshoff stops on line 91 are canceled due to a traffic accident.
In Bremen, however, there may be deviations from the timetable on tram lines 4 and 14. Both lines had to be rerouted due to a disruption in Huckelriede.

No ferry traffic between Bremerhaven and Blexen in the morning
The storm could cause extremely low water levels on the Weser between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Weser ferry will set up a replacement service with buses from 10 a.m., which are expected to depart from both ferry piers on the hour.

Police: No accidents on black ice yet
The police in Bremen, Bremerhaven and Oldenburg have reported a calm situation so far. According to the Oldenburg police, there was some sheet metal damage due to ice-icing accidents in the northwest, but no one was injured. The Bremen fire department and the traffic management center also speak of a quiet morning so far.

Daycare centers remain mostly open
In principle, care in the city of Bremen takes place in child and family centers, according to the education authority. In individual cases, however, there may be a loss of care or the setting up of emergency services. The daycare center management will then inform the affected parents directly. As a precautionary measure, they are asked to look after their children at home if possible.
