Qualcomm has officially presented three new Windows, Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-96-100, X2E-88-100 and X2E-80-100 laptop processors. All are built on the process of 3 N3P from TSMC, the same used for Apple M4, and come with a new generation Adreno GPU and a 80 Tops Dual-Hexagon NPU in AI pregnancies.

What do the new Snapdragon X2 Elite processors bring

The top model, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme X2E-96-100, integrates 18 cores (12 performance + 6 efficient), with Boost Single-Core at 5.0 GHz and multi-core at 4.4 GHz. It comes with 53 MB cache, support for over 128 GB RAM LPDDR5X on 192 bits (228 GB/s band width) and an Adrena X2-90 GPU Tacat at 1.85 GHz.

The intermediate version, X2E-88-100, retains the 18 nuclei, but lowers the frequencies to 4.7 GHz Single-Core and 4.0 Multi-Core, as well as the GPU frequency at 1.7 GHz. The RAM support is limited to 128 GB on a 128 -bit bus, with a bandwidth of 152 GB/s.

The base model, X2E-80-100, comes with 12 cores (6p + 6E), 34 MB cache, boost up to 4.7 GHz Single-Core and 4.4 Dual-Core GHz and an Adrena X2-85 GPU to 1.7 GHz.

All three models offer PCIE 5 support support (up to 12 lanes on extremes) and 4, confirming premium laptop orientation and high performance mini-PCIs.

The first laptops and mini-PCs equipped with Snapdragon X2 Elite will be available in the first half of 2026. Qualcomm has not yet specified OEM partners, but it is expected to see familiar names such as Dell, HP, ASUS and Acer.
