WWE SmackDown Returns to Two-hour Format on USA Network

World Wrestling Entertainment’s “WWE SmackDown” will be returning to a two-hour broadcast next week.
As confirmed on today’s SmackDown broadcast, the program will air on USA Network from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time, starting next Friday. The announcement was delivered by Michael Cole during the show.
According to Cole,”One programming note,friday Night SmackDown next week [in] Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania goes to two hours. Two hours for Friday Night SmackDown.”
the upcoming episode, which falls on the Fourth of July holiday, will be pre-taped. It will be filmed during Monday’s live Raw episode at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
“smackdown” had transitioned to a three-hour format at the beginning of 2025. The return to a two-hour format was initially planned for early June but faced a one-month delay.
Today’s “SmackDown” took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was broadcast live on netflix outside the united States. The U.S. broadcast will air on USA Network tonight from 8-11 p.m. Eastern.
