JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Sleman Police Chief Commissioner Pol Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo admitted that he was shocked when he found out that Hogi Minaya was the husband of Arsita Minaya, a mugging victim in Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Hogi was named a suspect because the two perpetrators of mugging his wife who were being chased died.

Kombes Edy revealed this when attending a meeting with Commission III DPR RI, Jakarta, Wednesday (28/1/2026).

This meeting was also attended by Hogi and Arsita.

“Indeed, I was surprised when I found out that the driver of the car was her own husband who was giving chase,” said Edy, in his presentation, Wednesday.

When he found out this information, Edy admitted that he felt a dilemma.

Because, as a husband, he understands what Hogi feels.

On the other hand, two people’s lives were lost.

“My heart certainly feels like I’m stuck with a dilemma. On the one hand, two human lives have been lost, which of course cannot be measured in material terms,” ​​he said.

“On the other hand, I also understand what Brother Hogi Minaya did as a husband. Chasing the perpetrator of the mugging of his wife. As is natural, a husband will act as soon as someone attacks his wife,” he continued.

Apart from that, he also stated that Hogi had actually helped the police in their pursuit of the mugging perpetrator.

“Similarly, that morning I conveyed it directly to him, Mr. Hogi Minaya, because as a law enforcer, I considered that what he had done had actually helped the Police’s work,” said Edy.
