2. Data Migration Limitations: Certain data types, such as chats between Skype users and Teams Work/School accounts, Skype-to-Skype for Business chat history, private chats, Copilot content, and bot interactions, will not be migrated.
3. Data Access Deadline: Skype data will remain accessible for download or deletion until January 2026. After this deadline, any remaining data will be permanently deleted.
4. Skype for Business Remains: This change only affects the consumer versions of Skype. Skype for Business will continue to operate without disruption.
