The municipality of Ogre region has implemented European Regional Development Fund project Nr. 5.1.1.1/2/24/A/004 “Skolas streets (in the section from Pirts street to Jaunogre prospect), reconstruction of Ogre for business promotion“. The aim of the project is to rebuild Skolas Street and Andreja Pumpura Street in the city of Ogre, in order to develop the public business infrastructure of the municipality of Ogre County and to increase the amount of private investment in the functional areas of the city, making investments for business development in accordance with the municipal development program. The target group of the project is the entrepreneurs and its residents in the city of Ogre.
The project has been implemented by investing in the improvement of the street infrastructure by building a new road surface, adequate rainwater drainage, surface and underground communication networks, a pedestrian sidewalk – a bicycle path.
The infrastructure investments made in the project will promote private investments in the territory, which is functionally connected to this section of the road. The most important existing commercial objects that are functionally connected to Skolas Street, as well as perspective places for business.
The total eligible costs of the project are: 1 951 320,40 EUR of which 1 542 300,75 EUR is European Regional Development Fund co-financing and municipal financing 409 019,65 EUR.
Construction works Skolas Street and Andreja Pumpura Street, Ogre, SIA “MRG Būve”, construction supervision by SIA “Akorda” and author supervision of the object by SIA “Global Project” was carried out.
After completion and commissioning of the rebuilt Skolas Street section, the contractor provides a 5-year warranty. It is planned that in the spring of next year, the works postponed in the object, which could not be carried out during the winter period, will be completed – the horizontal markings of the road surface will be applied using thermoplastic, and the lawn will be sown.
